Bored, Stroked and Blueprinted - celebrating American muscle

July 4, 2015

** Up dated 4/2/21 - My Sexy Saturday was a weekly blog by a group of writing joining together for promotion. It ended in 2017.***

Happy Independence Day! July 4th means different things to folks but most Americans do stop and remember the significance of the day. I've been known to have a thing or two to say about it here

Being Saturday, it's also time to celebrate all things romance with the My Sexy Saturday blog hop. This is MSS #99 - quite an accomplishment. Kudos to organizer Lynn Crain for her dedication to all of us who participate.

Few things speak to me the way the American Muscle Car does. Yes, I put that in caps. It's a breed all it's own. So for Independence Day I'm throwing in a classic American - a 1969 Camaro - along with two sexy guys. Here are seven sexy paragraphs from Bored, Stroked and Blueprinted.

= = = = = =

Logan leaned toward me as his right hand slid behind me to rasp the back of my neck. Surprise snapped through me followed by a jolt of electricity as his soft lips touched mine in the sweetest kiss I’d ever been given. Logan didn’t press or seek to arouse me. It was so much more. That careful kiss was a greeting and a question wrapped up in a quiet, unassuming intention to get closer to me. I fought against the rush of blood into my groin, pulled away and looked into his dark gaze. I didn’t want to turn into a horny fool and scare him off.

“Wow, Logan.” I swallowed, desperate to ease my dry throat. “I mean, that was…a surprise. I liked it.”

“Me, too.” He licked his lips. “What’s the first thing we need to do to the car?”

“Um, a detailed evaluation. I, um, have a form I use.” I straightened and frowned at him.

“What?”

“You’re sort of, um, stammering. It’s interesting.” Logan leaned toward me again, and my brain lost some higher functions. I leaned in and kissed him.

His response was swift. He cupped the back of my neck again and thrust his tongue past my lips. My cock filled in a throbbing, wonderful rush as the pulse beat in my ears deafened me. I sucked in a quick breath laden with the scent of his skin.

BORED, STROKED AND BLUEPRINTED

About Bored, Stroked and Blueprinted:

As a boy, Mick Ambrose fell in love with cars. Now he owns and operates an auto restoration shop specializing in all things American Muscle. When the black 1969 Camaro Z/28 he years ago dubbed Onyx pulls into his garage, Mick forgets his first love in favor of her driver, Logan Gregg. Mick’s interested and cruises Logan at a speed worthy of the car he drives.

Logan Gregg’s plan to avoid entanglements in his life drives away when he stops at American Muscle to ask a few questions about restoring the Z/28 he inherited from his uncle. The owner of the shop is smooth as a well-tuned V-8 engine and twice as hot. Logan is quick to shift gears and take a closer look at Mick Ambrose and the road ahead. When Mick wants to get too close, too fast, Logan backs off. His past holds painful memories he can’t escape and the tattoos on his arms aren’t just for decoration.

Working on the Z/28 brings the men closer, but Mick makes a mistake when he confesses his knowledge of the past Logan wants to keep buried. Mick knows a man has to settle his past to step into his future, but Logan’s unconvinced. To slay his personal demon, he’ll first have to look it in the eye.

Is it time for a change?

May 27, 2015

I've been debating whether or not to change the appearance of Between the Keys. This background, while I still like it, is feeling sort of old and tired. I've searched for just the right picture for the header but haven't had much success. That's led me to pondering the saying, "change for the sake of change."

Change for the sake of change is a trap we all fall into at some point in our life. We get restless. We don't even know why we crave something - anything - different. That may be the point I'm at with the background.

One of the problems is I want something classy and if you've looked at the blogger backgrounds.....   I know "classy" is in the eye of the beholder. To me, it would be a dark, rich color. What color? One that matches, or at least blends well, with this header photo I can't seem to find. I may have to resort to Photoshop to get what I want.

If I can figure out what that is.

Hmm. Maybe I'd better leave well-enough alone and avoid the change for the sake of change trap.

Give Me One Night for My Sexy Saturday

January 31, 2015
**updated 4/2/21 - the My Sexy Saturday blog hop is no longer operational**

Can you believe we're a month into the New Year? Is that scary or amazing? Maybe it's a bit of both. For My Sexy Saturday #77, here are seven sexy paragraphs from the best seller Give Me One Night. Enjoy!

*_*_*_*

“Are you going to tell me your name?”

I flashed my pearly whites at him. “Just before you come for the first time.”

“Cocky bastard, aren’t you?”

“You’ll have to wait a while to find that out.”

Quick as lightning, something I’d become acquainted with this evening, Blue Eyes whirled and wrapped his arms around my shoulders. His mouth came down on mine, hard, demanding. Hot. White heat coursed through me, striking my groin with a hammer-like blow and settling there with burning insistence. I opened my lips to him, allowing him to plunder, while I soared, reveling in the jolts of arousal that threatened to send me over the edge into insanity. My lungs screamed for air and I sucked in a deep breath. His arms tightened.

My turn.

I pushed my tongue past his, delving into the heat of his mouth. He moaned, a deep rumble that started in his chest and vibrated out of him. I thrust my pelvis to his, scoring the reward of knowing he was equally hard.

A Cat Named Hercules and My Sexy Saturday

May 17, 2014
**Updated 4/2/21 - the My Sexy Saturday blog hop has been closed.**

Thanks for stopping by Between the Keys for another week of My Sexy Saturday. MSS has been on hiatus but it's back and going strong! Be sure to check out all the participants by using the linky-list at the end of this post. Romance is for everyone!

Here's seven sexy paragraphs from A Cat Named Hercules. Oh - do you see the little fellow on the cover? No, no. THE CAT! That's my very own "Hercules" posing for his first  - and last - cover shot. Talk about a cat with a swelled head...

_*_*_*_*_

I gulped the last bit of liquid in my glass and followed him all the way to his Jeep. With his head lowered, I couldn’t tell if he realized I was behind him or not. When we got to his vehicle, he must have seen my reflection in the darkened window glass. He turned, his eyes black and wild with a mix of fear and longing. I closed the distance between us. Galen’s arms snaked their way around my neck. We stumbled hard against the side of his ride. His hold tightened, and I seized the opportunity and covered his mouth with mine.

I felt the shock go through him, but I didn’t back off. I couldn’t. His lips slid over mine as he opened to me, a low moan rolling out of him and into me. He was alive under my hands as I caressed down his backside. His scent was in every rapid breath I managed to take. My cock filled in a few pounding beats. I gripped his hips and flexed my pelvis to his, eager to learn if he was equally hard. Galen sucked in a breath and tore his mouth from mine.

“Shiloh. Shiloh, I have to leave.”

Hot frustration burned inside me, but quickly cooled. He wasn’t playing with me. The man shook violently in my arms. An uneasy realization dawned. I cradled the back of his head and pulled him closer.

“Shh. Lean on me, Gale. Just let me hold you for a second. It’s okay.” I rubbed his back. “Talk to me.”

He eased away from me. “I have to go. I thought I was ready for this, but I’m not.”

“If you want me, know this. I definitely want you.” I reached for him, but he planted his hand in the middle of my chest and kept me at arm’s length.

About the book:

New in town, Shiloh Rudy joins a group of civic-minded
volunteers to better acquaint himself with his recently adopted community. It’s a good way to make friends, network, and help make a difference, not to mention perhaps meet someone interesting  - in a romantic sort of way. The one thing Shiloh didn’t expect was a love to rival all others to come with four white paws.

Gale Widmyer is on his feet and moving forward after piecing his life back together following a series of wrong choices. In his darkest moments, the one bright spot in his existence was the fulfillment of his dream to become a veterinarian. Gale’s making good on a promise to himself when an abandoned kitten leads him to Shiloh Rudy and a chance at the happiness he never hoped to have.

Laying the cornerstone for a developing relationship comes easy for Shiloh and Gale. But the wounds of the past often remain unhealed at their deepest point. A few careless words erects a wall of silence between the two men, one Shiloh has to breach if he hopes to win Gale back. It will take more than apologies to win Gale’s forgiveness and put old fears to rest. It’ll take a cat named Hercules.

Moon Dances

May 3, 2014

If it's Saturday, it's time for a blog hop. This week it's the Seductive Studs and Sirens Blog Hop. Be sure to check out all the SS&S blogs.

About Moon Dances:

For Lieutenant Fallon Roxbury, Special Police Consultant, reality has taken on a strange shift. Shapeshifters exist and a clan of them live under his protection. One is his lover, Sundown. Protecting the Chal is a full-time job, a task which would be easier if they weren’t so secretive - and scheming. When Fallon’s police force partner suggests a vacation, Fallon jumps at the chance to take Sundown someplace private. A resort near where he grew up seems like the prefect place for a get-away. Ten days filled with sex, sleep and sun is just what they both need, but more than fun lurks in the woods.

The ancient nemesis of the Chal is still out there and could one day return to earth to enslave both Chal and human alike. Secrets of the Chal past come to light when Fallon’s suppressed memories of his early years resurface. The shapeshifters have always had a plan defeat their enemy, one with Sundown at its core.

_*_*_*_*_

Sundown’s easy laughter lifted my spirits as we fell into step together. I didn’t have a destination in mind, just the joy of walking along the edge of the woods hand-in-hand with my lover. Tomorrow would be time enough to venture among the trees and search for my old haunts.

The boat dock was about a mile beyond our cabin, and we ended up walking down to the water’s edge. As luck would have it, there was also a weathered bench, so we sat shoulder-to-shoulder and watched the crescent moon rise over the lake. I rested my arm on the back of the bench, and he leaned closer. Mingled with smell of the water and pines was a rich sandalwood— the scent my lover produced when he wanted sex.

“You could sit on my lap, babe.”

Sundown bumped against me. “Are there not laws to forbid such exhibitions?”

"I doubt the fish will take pictures.” I unzipped my jeans.

Ready...Set....GO! The 2014 A-Z Blog Challenge begins tomorrow!

March 31, 2014

I believe it's good to always have a plan. There's an old saying that the devil is in the details and it's often true. Details are difficult. So I like to have a plan, and above is mine for the 2014 A-Z Blog Challenge. Twenty-six blogs in twenty-six days. It's not for those scared of commitment. Check out the Survivor badges displayed on the left side of the blog. I earned those badges. No one just handed them to me.

Will I adhere to the 2014 plan? I guess you'll have to check back every day because the answer will only be found between the keys.

Open Roads for this My Sexy Saturday

March 8, 2014

**Updated 4/2/21 - the My Sexy Saturday blog hop has been closed.**

Welcome to week #39 of My Sexy Saturday.

There's a line in a Joe Cocker song that goes something like "point me east and let me go." I'm sort of like that only east isn't a very good direction for a Marylander. West, south and north are far better. Head east from here and in a few hours you hit the surf and you're done.

Open Roads sprang into being when a couple of ideas blended together. The big questions to building the story were what would happen if you met the right person far from home? Would you stay? Would you walk away? Would you risk your heart for a handful of perfect days? I think the answers worked very well in Open Roads.

*_*_*_*

His gray gaze held my hazel one captive as I held out my hand to him. “Tyler Phillips, owner-operator.”

Strong fingers closed around mine, holding my hand a moment too long for politeness. “Noel Springs, stranded motorist.” Awareness arced between us, that recognition so many people call “gaydar.” I called it something else—lightning. Noel Springs was gay and he liked what he saw. He let go of my hand as I motioned at the ratty sofa that took up the east wall of the room. It was slated for replacement in the fourth quarter of the fiscal year, but it was only June.

“Have a seat, Noel. While your engine cools, I need to finish up a job in the garage.”

“It might take a while for that to happen, Tyler.” He looked me up and down again, a slow, lazy perusal that made my heart beat a little faster. It also brought out my attitude.

I shifted my weight, a subtle movement that let my hips go forward. He noticed, so I tossed him a little tease at him. “Like what you see?”

The corner of his mouth twitched. “Yeah. I do. It’s a shame, too, because home is nowhere near here.”

“The universe does enjoy playing its little games with people.” I smiled again, nodded, then walked away before I got stupid with him. A little flirtation was fine, but I didn’t trick with my customers.

Leather Jackets for a cold My Sexy Saturday morning

January 25, 2014
**Updated 4/2/21 - the My Sexy Saturday blog hop has been discontinued.**

It's another My Sexy Saturday and this week I have seven sexy paragraphs from Leather Jackets. I chose Leather Jackets because I wore mine one day this past week and about froze my a$$ off. For the record, I'm done with this winter stuff. Enough, already!

So let's warm up a bit with Wynn and Jude.

*_*_*_*_*

LEATHER JACKETS
Book six of the Men of Marionville series
Contemporary gay romance available now

“Maybe, Wynn, but perhaps not. You had things you had to do. I had things I wanted to do.”

“Having you with me would have made it all sweeter.” He lowered his mouth to mine.

I was startled by the gentle poignancy of his kiss. For a split second, he laid himself bare for me, then I opened my lips and invited him in. The change in him was swift. A deep groan rumbled in his chest. His pelvis flexed to mine. My balls drew up as my cock swelled, eager for his touch, for the wet swipe of his tongue.

Wynn’s lips trailed fire down my neck and along my jaw line. My heart pounded as the skin on my back and buttocks prickled. Deep inside, small muscles twitched with anticipation of something I couldn’t be sure would happen. I hooked my foot around the back of his knees and rolled us against the other seat. We ended up on our sides facing each other.

“Damn, it’s tight quarters in here.”

Wynn’s big hand clamped onto my ass and squeezed. “We had to promise no sex in the limo to keep our driver happy. But he turns a blind eye to the occasional little grope-and-pant session.” His cool hand dipped under the waistband of my pants and his long fingers wrapped around my hard shaft and moved in short strokes. I rested my forehead to his.

“Oh, God. Every time I jerk off, I think of your hand.” I cupped his balls through his slacks.

A dusting of snow

January 18, 2014

I missed signing up for today's My Sexy Saturday and the sky did fall - we got a dusting of snow in the overnight hours. My world looks white and clean this morning, but it won't last. The fine powder is already blowing off tree limbs and branches, and in a few hours will be gone. It was pretty to wake up to, though.

It was a hectic week. Getting the new processor up and running has taken a lot longer than I thought. You see, the moment I mentioned I had purchased a new processor, my lovely stepdad had to rush out and get one, too. Guess who he called for help?

Laughing at the man who takes care of your mother, and does it quite well, simply isn't very kind, but I couldn't help myself. I hope that doesn't make me too much of a bad person, but ....okay, I'm laughing again thinking about it so maybe I should move on. He's really a great guy and it's nice to be needed, isn't it?

I'm not sure where the hours will lead me today. The dusting of snow tempts me toward the outdoors for a walk, but since my old dog's arthritic feet don't allow him to travel far, the lure of clean, crisp air is muted. I miss his presence on my walks but I can't bring myself to get a pup. How could I take off on a walk with a young dog knowing it would distress my poor old love to be left behind? I can't do that. So if I go for a solitary walk, I'll sneak out of the house while he's napping.

The fact that part of my day will be spent working on a story goes without saying. I'm down to the very last pages in Fallon and Sundown's latest adventure. A lot of truth about the Chal shapeshifters come to light in this story and it leaves Fallon wondering about his total involvement with his lover. Maybe not a happy thought, but certainly a natural progression to their story.

With that said, it's time to get to it. The cup of coffee I made in our handy-dandy K-cup machine needs a trip to the nuker to be warmed. Being Saturday, I need to check for updates on all the electronic gizmos that crowd my life these days and then I need to get some writing done.

Have a great Saturday!

It's a "Shining Victory" for this week's My Sexy Saturday (KC Kendricks)

November 30, 2013
**Updated 4/2/21 - the My Sexy Saturday blog hop has been discontinued.**

Levi Wright. How does one define Levi? Young? Brash? Eager? Talented? Determined? Levi is all those things, but it's all tempered by the fact he's simply a good person. Not that Stacy James saw all that at first glance. What Stacy saw was a bit of himself when he was a younger man. For this My Sexy Saturday, here are seven sexy paragraphs from Shining Victory -  because a who doesn't want a white knight to come to the rescue? (Maybe stubborn Levi!)

= = = = =

Mobile, agile and hostile summed up my first impression of the young man who made a running leap and glided across the hood of a 1967 Camaro on denim-clad knees. He landed on the other side of the car—on his feet—and went nose-to-nose with a man half again his size who’d dared to cast aspersions on his sexuality.

The young man stood six feet tall, lanky, with a head full of dark, curly hair, a scruffy three-day beard, and stunning sky-blue eyes framed by the longest black eyelashes I’d ever seen on a man, gay or straight. And he was pissed off past the point of reason.

I admit I don’t like it much when people refer to me as a “fag” either, but with age comes smarts, or so they say. I’d have ignored the beer-bellied redneck and walked on. But it’s true; testosterone poisoning is a malady of youth. I used to have it myself, and counted myself lucky it had passed. For the most part, anyway…This young man looked to have a bad case of twenty-something and hormones.

I set my soda down a safe distance from the imminent fisticuffs and prepared to save the young man from having his beautiful, perfectly straight nose take on a different shape—that of the other fellow’s fist.

He failed to appreciate my efforts, fixing me with an angry blue gaze that drilled its way straight to my groin as I stepped between them. Good God, what incredible eyes.

“Fuck off, old man!”

The little puppy called me old. I resented that remark, but let it slide for the greater good of the moment.

= = = =

About Shining Victory:

Stacy James survived a life-shattering accusation to become a successful businessman with a lot to offer a partner. At forty, he’s finally put his ghosts to rest, and is ready for someone in his life, if the right person comes along.

Young and wild, ace mechanic Levi Wright builds engines made for speed. When Levi’s volatile temper lands him nose-to-nose with trouble, Stacy ignores his own rules and steps in to save Levi from making a big mistake. But Stacy can’t ignore Levi’s smoldering sexuality as the younger man then pursues him.

And Levi has made it clear - he's out to get his man.

Passion's Victory makes for one My Sexy Saturday blog

November 2,  2013
**Updated 4/2/21 - the My Sexy Saturday blog hop has been discontinued.**

It's Saturday again and that means another My Sexy Saturday entry. I think this is great fun because it's taking me back into older stories and reuniting me with those characters. Today I'm going back almost to the beginning to Passion's Victory.

Be sure to read down to the My Sexy Saturday linky and visit the blogs listed. There's some great reading there!

In this scene, Micah comes home to find Jonas waiting on the front porch for him.

= = = = = = =

“Jonas,” I murmured against his smiling lips. “Talk to…” His tongue flicked to mine, cutting off my request for a moment of conversation.

Any of my neighbors watching were getting quite a sideshow. I shoved my hand in my pocket, fumbled my keys. They fell from my shaking fingers to the porch decking. Jonas pushed me back, breaking physical contact. I longed to see his eyes, to get some idea of what he thought, what he felt.

“Bend over and pick them up,” he said cheerfully as he rubbed my nipple. I stared at him and tried to catch my breath.

“Not in front of you, Chadwick. I know all about men like you.”

“Do you?” Something rough and dark in his voice gave me pause. What demon did he battle?

“I know enough.” I pushed him back against the side of the house, not with some little force. “Why did you come back?”

“I don’t know. Maybe to satisfy my curiosity.”

Passion's Victory by KC Kendricks - a 2008 CAPA nominee

Micah Souther is young, talented, and gay. As the junior owner of the family business, he knows better than to look for love “on the clock.”

Jonas Chadwick is the new guy at the firm. Older, wiser, and a survivor of the school of hard knocks, he’s not in the market for an office romance, even if he knew for certain his young boss were gay.

One kiss is all it takes to send them on a collision course, and when bodies collide, the friction gets hot.

My Sexy Saturday - Doors of Time by KC Kendricks

October 5, 2013
**Updated 4/2/21 - the My Sexy Saturday blog hop has been discontinued.**

Welcome to My Sexy Saturday! My Sexy Saturday is a blog hop where your fave authors present seven sexy words, seven sexy paragraphs or even seven sexy pages from a published book or a work in progress.

This week I have seven sexy paragraphs from Doors of Time. As teens, Calvin didn't confess to Emory he had feelings for him so Emory always believed Calvin was straight. This conversation takes place after Calvin tells Emory the truth. You can read more of it here.  Enjoy!

_*_*_
“As a younger man, I seemed to attract a macho element intent on making me their bitch.” Emory looked at him and lifted his hands, palms up. “And there you sit, only gay for a few hours.”

Calvin snorted. “Disconcerting, isn’t it?”

“You don’t know the half of it. I mean, I tell you you’re dessert and that makes you decide to have dinner with me?”

Calvin parked the car beside Emory’s little sports coupe. “I was leaning toward dinner without dessert, but your way sounds more interesting.”

Emory scrambled from the car as he reached for the door handle. “I’ll leave your name at the front desk.”

Calvin hurried after him and blocked his escape into his own ride. “Wait a second! What are you scared of, Emory?"

"Feeling sixteen and clueless again."

Number 1 for the publisher at All Romance eBooks - Kentucky 98 Proof

September 12, 2012

**Note**
Although Amber Quill and All Romance eBooks have both closed, I decided to leave this post up.
After all, Kentucky 98 Proof was the #1 book for Amber Quill for a stretch of time.
Can't change that fact

I'm starting to feel a little sheepish about how well Kentucky 98 Proof is doing. Seriously. First it hit the All Romance eBooks Bestseller list. Then it was a really spiffy 5 Heart review. And now Kentucky 98 Proof is number one for the publisher - Amber Quill Press/Amber Allure - at All Romance eBooks. I had to take a screen capture of it for my files! It's better than pinching myself to make sure I'm awake, you know.

You'd think the follow-up story to this one would prove difficult, but it doesn't really work like that. Kentucky 98 Proof is really the follow-up to Seducing Light, Tango in the Night, Poseidon's Pleasure, The Back Stairs, What You Don't Confess, Double Deuce, Highway Nights, Desert Snow, Doors of Time. These are the books I think are my best works and the ones which set the stage for Kentucky 98 Proof.

And while this has been great fun I'm not losing sight of reality. The next book is submitted and the contract signed. Will it turn out to be a fun ride like Kentucky 98 Proof? Who knows? If it does, I'll enjoy it every bit as much as I've enjoyed this story. If it doesn't, it'll still be a book I'm proud of. I think that's what really matters.

Thanks to everyone who bought a copy of Kentucky 98 Proof!

Kentucky 98 Proof confirmed Bestseller

August 30, 2013

It's been a very special Labor Day holiday so far. We hit the Maryland Wine Trail (fun!), the bowling season started (fun!), and Kentucky 98 Proof was confirmed a Bestseller at All Romance eBooks (FUN!!).  Oh, yeah - and there was a small flock of wild turkeys in the west woods. I think that means the fox family has finally moved on. But back to the business of writing...

I got a nice email from the lady who owns and operates All Romance eBooks telling me Kentucky 98 Proof was an ARE Bestseller. Yea! She even sent me the little button for on my website and blog. I think I can take a few seconds and brag a bit here at Between the Keys.
Not every story a writer pens turns out the way they intended.  As the story unfolds, the characters speak and directions change and new ideas are incorporated. Sometimes it's difficult to find the finish line. Sometimes you can't wait to get there. Sometimes, although rarely, it's a struggle. When it gets tough, I simply set the story aside for a week or two and work on a different project and allow my subconscious to simmer the problem. Works every time.

And then there all the stories that come to the writer in a flash, complete and ready to go. You can't get the words on the page fast enough! It's all THERE and you're connected to it in ways that make anything and everything that takes you away from it an unwelcome intrusion. Kentucky 98 Proof was that kind of story for me.

So I'm delighted it's doing well and I thank each and every one of you for reading it.

**UPDATE** All Romance eBooks has closed, but that does not negate the fact Kentucky 98 Proof was a best seller at the store.

Sew what on my tongue?

August 13, 2013

An article on Yahoo today hit my "enough" button. Apparently it is now okay to have hernia mesh surgically sewn onto your tongue to help you lose weight.

I've tried to make my face relax from a horrified grimace but it won't do it.

While I do write a some of these blog entries with my tongue firmly in cheek, this is not one of them.  My tongue is in hiding.

I am not joking. The article is there. Google it because I can't bring myself to add the link and be associated with the article forever and ever google amen.

I'd love to lose, oh, maybe ten pounds, but no way in hell would I entertain the notion of sewing a foreign object onto my tongue.

Can't we just pretend we can't eat much food for a week? Wouldn't that be safer all the way around? Especially when you consider the reaction when you admit to your mother what you've just had done and what it cost?

Sure would be in my world.

Cover up! Kentucky 98 Proof

July 27, 2013

***Updated March 7, 2019***

I finally got around to updating the cover for Kentucky 98 Proof. This is the third cover the book has had and it's the best so far. Not one to rest on my laurels, I'll keep working on my Photoshop skills. The third time might be the charm, but the fourth one could be magic. I won't know until I get there. - KC

***

It was worth the wait. The cover is finally finished for Kentucky 98 Proof, due out around August 18, 2013.  This might become my fave book cover, too!

The cover blurb for Kentucky 98 Proof:

Victor Carter knows his grandfather only from a handful of black and white photographs, so his surprise when the man’s will is read is genuine. What’s he going to do with seventy acres on the side of a Kentucky mountain? More importantly, how’s he going to survive living there for a year to satisfy the conditions of the will so he can sell the property? Even worse, it’s not like the hills of Kentucky are teeming with gay companionship.

Boone Mosely is Kentucky-born and bred with a proud family heritage he can trace back to his home state’s founding. Following in his uncle’s footsteps, Boone’s in his second term as sheriff of Four Points. He takes the job seriously and doesn’t suffer fools - or crime - in his town.

When city slicker Victor Carter arrives on Shepherd Mountain, Boone knows he’s got a whole new brand of trouble to deal with. And this time, the badge isn’t going to help him at all.

Double Diamonds now available

**Note - Due to Amber Quill Press closing, this title is out of print.**
Double Deuce and Deuce of Diamonds remain available as separate ebooks.

June 23, 2013

I must have missed the publisher's announcement this past week that Double Diamonds is available at Amazon. Not surprising considering my week started with my car getting nailed in the parking lot at work and went downhill from there. I'm amazed I got as much done as I did, but remember that I am woman. Hear me roar in a positive, kick ass, get it done and keep moving forward sort of way. I keep writing every day which is my version of taking a happy pill. And, for me, it works like sunshine!

So I'll stop rambling and get to the promo - Double Diamonds is now available at Amazon. Yea! Double Diamonds is a single paperback containing the stories Double Deuce and Deuce of Diamonds, the story of Ian Coulter and Rick Mohr.
